Counting Down to Survivor Nicaragua...

I took a look at the contestants for the latest season of Survivor posted on CBS.com and had a few thoughts:

Okay, I hate “Benry” already. First, he calls himself Benry (his name is Ben Henry) his dad, John Henry (Jenry?) and he talks about a friend Matt Oka (Moka?)… Why he thinks he should win: Because if you look good, you feel good. If you feel good, you play good. If you play good, you get paid good! - He sounds like a douche.


Dan also sounds like a jerk – considers himself devious and is there for his ego- great.

I’ve noticed most of the young ones say they’re like Ozzy and the old ones say they’re either Tom or Rupert (yikes.)

Pet peeve for a lot of them is lazy people and a lot of them call themselves crazy – ho boy, we'll see how many prove themselves hypocrites on the lazy and extremely honest on the crazy.

Surfer dude Jud – love his reason for being there: I could do a lot with a million dollars! Plus, camping on a tropical island with a bunch of cute girls sounds like the best vacation ever.

Okay, Kelly B – amputee AND her Dad was killed in the earthquake in Haiti – she gets the sympathy vote for sure… too bad it’s not Extreme Home Makeover – they’d totally build her a house.

I think I’m going to hate Kelly S. though – she says she’s most like Elizabeth Hasselback and she knows how to play the popularity game – gag, I can't stand holier-than-though manipulators.

Marty – says he’s a mix of Boston Rob & Russell – sure you are... that's a lot to live up to my friend.

NaOnka – proud not to have any kids at the ripe old age of 27 (Huh?)

I love that Wendy says she was in the Army but makes sure we know she’s nothing like Shambo (Ha!)

Yve – how do you even pronounce that? Eve? She says she’s like Bob Crowley (okay, I remember him, Bill Nye/science guy) and Danni Boatwright – Who? I have a vague recollection of a black cowboy hat and surprise she won - but that's about it, not someone I'd want to liken myself to - unless she plans to win by being completely forgettable.

**SO... a little taste, I can't wait for September 15th!

Also, the teams for the Amazing Race will be posted on September 1st so I should be able to finalize the pools shortly there after.
