Going Down in Flames
The episode opened with the recap of the STUPIDEST MOVE IN SURVIVOR HISTORY - with JT and the Heroes giving Russell a hidden immunity idol... and then the Villains voted Courtney out at Tribal Council.
Heroes - Day 25
-The Heroes are all sitting around grousing - they're bored and think there better be a merge today. JT says he just wants to see Russell and four girls. We five have been together for a pretty long time now, it's starting to take its toll on us.
-Rupert and Amanda go for tree mail and find a chest with a note telling them not to open it until they get the key and to make room in camp - Company will be arriving soon.
Villains - Day 25
- Parvati and Danielle - I wonder what this key is for? And they got a map to the Heroes camp... They're Merging!
-Russell says that's okay with me. It's right up my alley - going to the Heroes home turf and weeding them out one at a time.
-Russell and his girls are strategizing - Russell says he knows for a fact he has to go to JT on why Parvati's not gone. He'll say he played the idol to save himself and wants to say she played one too because she thought the girls were revolting - So next time we go to Tribal Council, they'll want Parvati out, she'll play the idol to save herself and JT will go home. (Sandra has been skulking in the trees eavesdropping on them and Danielle hears her - sshh, be quiet... She already heard you.)
-Russell thinks he's the only one that has a hidden immunity idol in pocket - they all know about it except Sandra and he's not telling her anything - that idol is going to help them weed out one of the members on the Heroes tribe. I'm going to have them eating out of my hands - they'll go down in Villain Flames.
Heroes - Day 25
-Parvati - watch out, the Villains are coming - She & Russell are the only ones with idols which makes them King & Queen right now. The Queen needs some secrets so she's kept hers a secret from him, only her lady in waiting, Danielle, knows.
- JT - first thing he notices as the Villains walk up their beach is Parvati leading the charge. Where's Russell? Oh, he sees his legs. He says Parvati MUST have played an idol too, so she's got to be the first to go - it's a given. (Wow, he's convinced he's got it all figured out - poor sap.)
-They open the box and get their new buffs - huge ham - veggies and fruit. They eat and start discussing what they should call the new tribe. Hillians (no)
Jerri - All-Villains, because we're all villains.
Colby - Really Jerri?
Rupert says to the camera - We're all winners - All-starts - something good and positive- why do you have to keep the Villain attitude... (News flash - not everyone wants to be liked and good - they like sticking it to people and being Bad... deal with it.) I guess that's what Villains do.
-Everyone mingling and chatting - except Parvati, they're ignoring her and she's just not used to that - she stalks off, all upset. Danielle follows and asks her what's wrong - she's actually choked up - no one wants her there (Wow, she really can't take not being the center of attention. I bet she never really believed they'd be immune to her charms - Ha!) Danielle tells her they think they have the game so let them think that - Parvati says she's offended by how they've been treating her (huh?) they don't know it yet but they're about to be picked off one by one.
-Russell talking to JT and Rupert - Russell's laying it on thick - "This is the first time I've felt comfortable since Day 4"- he's selling them the story about both himself and Parvati playing hidden immunity idols at the same time and then on the re-vote they voted out Courtney. This is it for me - don't doubt - I swear on my kids that i'm on board with you all. JT - I don't doubt you. Russell - Just breathe (and he's out.)
-JT to Rupert - I told ya - he's a good old country boy.
-JT to camera - Giving Russell the idol could have blown up in my face - he could have been the leader of the girls. - Do I believe it? - Not a chance in this world.
-JT to Rupert - I trust him explicibly (yes, that is what he said, I rewound it... not a man of letters, our JT. He meant 'implicitly')
Rupert and JT are so happy with themselves - we're in it to the end... (Oh, he's going to feel so stupid when he watches this back later.)
-Russell to the camera - Hook, line and sinker - they're biting on everything I tell them. It's going to be a wonderful thing.
-Sandra catches up with Rupert on the beach - "Oh my God, Rupert, listen - I'm the last of my alliance..."
Sandra tells the camera she don't forgive and she don't forget - the Heroes don't know that Russell's the kingpin and Parvati's his right hand man. Russell's trying to play up that all these women are trying to get rid of him - I hope I get my revenge cause it's gonna be GOOD. (Oh yeah!)
-She continues to Rupert - that she and Courtney were aligned and they didn't want them together over here so that's why Courtney's gone and she's got to be babysat - if they see her talking to him she'll be gone. She says Russell's lying if he says the women are running the show, you guys are done starting with the men - she'll tell him on the LoLo - Russell's the kingpin and Parvati's his right hand, whatever he says agree to it but don't trust him.
-Rupert is dumbfounded - he says to the camera - if Sandra is true and I have to believe she is - Russell's playing us - Boy - this is where the game gets crazy.
Merged Tribe - Day 26
Heroes are making breakfast and everyone is eating eggs - after breakfast Parvati announces she wants a banana and she and Danielle head over and start picking out bananas - OH NO you Ditn't! Rupert gets his beard in a twist immediately - he is the banana police. The Heroes are all unimpressed but Rupert mumbles about them being a Greedy ass, pain in the ass tribe, eating all their food.
-Rupert tells us the food rules - coconuts - have at 'er - but bananas, papaya's they divide that all up evenly. I cannot wait to start voting some of these Villains out of our camp. (He is food obsessed like only a former fatty can be - and yes, I know of what I speak.)
-Rupert, JT, Amanda & Candice are talking - Rupert tells them if Russell is playing them - JT, "He's not" (He refuses to even consider it) - Rupert asks him to hear him out - If he's got us all voting for Parvati, they can use that idol and vote one of us out. JT- I'm telling you, Parvati wouldn't be in this game if she didn't play her idol - no question asked. (Oh, hubris has been the downfall of many great men - and now one magic hillbilly.)
-Rupert - Don't trust him, he's on the Villains side for a reason. He says they tell him one thing then all 5 change their vote at the last minute to test him.
-Amanda says to the camera - to humour Rupert they've agreed - she doesn't want them to lose their lead by being stupid - that'd be awful.
-JT and Amanda are telling Rupert he's paranoid.
-JT is laughing to the camera - says there is a reason he's been doing the strategic playing for Rupert - he needs someone to tell him how to vote so JT's stepped up. Asks if he believes what Sandra told him or if he believes the obvious truth... (JT's lost all perspective, he so convinced he's got it all figured out he's not playing with necessary caution ) He says if he's wrong he'll be the next one going, but he doesn't believe it - but you never know in this game (are you listening to yourself, buddy?)
-Rupert doesn't trust Russell - he swore on his kids. Everyone seems to just be humouring Rupert - they don't believe he's SMRT.
Merged Tribe - Day 27
-Parvati talking to Amanda - Amanda is telling her the Heroes are all freaked out about Parvati and want her gone. Parvati - so if I lose today, they'll vote for me. Amanda - Probably. Amanda tells her she'll try and get them to vote for Sandra, try and keep Parvati there if she can. Parvati asks her if she'll tell he how they're voting and Amanda says she will... (But she's such a baadd liar.)
-Parvati isn't sure if Amanda is telling her the truth but she goes ahead and tells her she has a hidden immunity idol.
-Amanda tells the camera that she likes Parvati and everything but if she gets to the end she's gonna win again.
-They fake-ily tell each other "I trust you" and do a stupid white girl handshake - (Ugh, it was painful to watch.)
(Oh, and are Colby and Jerri even still there? Haven't seen either one since the merge.)
IMMUNITY CHALLENGE
New tribe name - Yin Yang - means Good & Evil.
Today's challenge - they must hold onto a notched pole for as long as they can - if they fall off, they're out, last person on the pole wins immunity.
-They climb up on their poles - JT, Candice and Parvati have all done this challenge before but didn't win.
-Sandy is struggling right off and Colby says you want to step off together - sure - and he does it - What?
She hesitates but also steps off. Jeff has to needle Colby a little but Colby just says he knew from the last challenge of balancing on notches that it's not his forte. (Whatever, I ask again - whatever happened to the unstoppable Colby?)
-Russell is the next out - Rupert struggles to cling on but he slides off the pole and out - Amanda is next then JT almost falls off the pole but catches himself at the last minute and climbs back up the pole, laughs it off like he was foolin with them. Jeff, did you do that on purpose? No, I almost fell... then he is the next one out.
-Candice is the last Hero left in the challenge with Danielle and Parvati and Jerri. Jerri makes an excuse about not being able to handle the dehydration and she comes off - Sandra - too bad we drank all your water. (Ha!)
-5 minutes later Candice decides to bow out- Jeff asks why, she's favoured to win here - she does it anyway. (???)
-Parvati asks Danielle, do you want me to win? Danielle says, "I'll win, you have the idol." Parvati looked like she was going to argue but then just says, "Okay, it's yours." and she comes down - Making Danielle the first winner of Individual immunity. (And I have to say - I hope if Danielle wins the money she fixes that horrible, horrible boob job - they're not supposed to meet in the middle like that - ewerughh!)
-Rupert thinks Parvati is going to have the hidden idol tonight or she wouldn't have stepped off that pole - He hope it'll play into his plan to oust Russell for the weasel he is.
Yin Yang - Day 27
-So the Heroes plan is to let Russell vote Parvati to prove his loyalty and then they'll vote Sandra or Jerri. (I hope it's not Sandra - she gave them the heads up, that would be sh*tty.) JT is finally a little nervous because Parvati stepped down like she did in the challenge - if she's in such danger and she knows she is, why give up immunity (exactly.)
-Sandra & Jerri are in the water - say they don't care who goes as long as it's not them - Jerri says they think they have it in the bag which tells her Russell's doing a good job - Sandra - uh, yeah.
-Sandra says she tried to tell Rupert the score when she got there but she hasn't spoken with him since so she's not sure where everything stands and she doesn't want her big mouth to get her in trouble so for now she's resigned to the fact that she's stuck with Russell - but she doesn't like it.
-Russell slinks off and retrieves his hidden immunity idol to give it to Parvati - he says if it was just him that'd be one thing but he's got to keep these four girls on the Villains tribe so he can get rid of JT. He gives the idol to Parvati and she acts surprised - Oh you... (gag me).
-Parvati shows the camera that she now has two hidden idols and now she believes everyone is right - she is the most dangerous person out there.
-Parvati goes and talks to Amanda - and Amanda is the WORST LIAR EVER - she might as well have just told her everything - it was painful. Amanda tells Parvati to play the hidden idol for herself - to protect herself. Parvati right away knows that they're not voting for her (Duh) so now she's not sure if she should play the idol...
TRIBAL COUNCIL
Rupert, what's camp life like with Heroes & Villains in the same spot?
- It is an adjustment - You know what James said about the banana etiquette thing - I haven't had a ripe banana since they got here. (He's trying to play it like he's laughing but you can tell his really annoyed.)
- Danielle jumps in - With all due respect, there is such a plethora of bananas and plantains, I don't think we should be penalized if we want to cook a plantain.
(Courtney whispers to Coach - "Banana Wars".)
- Rupert goes on about green bananas and ripe bananas - "We let the Ripen."
Sandra and Parvati both look like - Okay Crazy - Are you for Real?
- Danielle says she feels like she's walking on egg shells around camp and they need to work out a way to get along...
- Russell jumps in - Green bananas, yellow bananas - who cares - nothing's going to change - let's just play the game.
Russell, could tonight's vote dictate the rest of the game?
- Tonight's vote WILL dictate the rest of the game. This is the most important vote I've been a part of. If a Hero goes home, Villains will be top 5 and if a Villain goes home, Heroes will be top 5. That's the way it'll work tonight.
JT, sound true to you?
- I hope that's true and I hope it's a Villain who goes home.
Was it a crazy day in camp JT?
- None of these people want to talk to me so that leads me to believe my name is getting wrote down a lot tonight.
- Jerri says she'll talk to him anytime.
- JT- My feelin's already hurt. I don't want to hear it. (A little light hearted banter to ease things a bit.)
Jerri, can you see what JT is talking about - you guys avoiding him?
- It did feel like they had a wall up - JT in particular.
Russell, is that just maybe paranoia? Everyone feeling the same thing?
- I think that's exactly what it is - Paranoia - I talk to JT all the time - I've probably talked to their tribe more than mine.
(Courtney whispers to Coach - "They're playing." She'll have to explain that later.)
Sandra, does that concern you, that your Villain tribe mate's talking to the Heroes?
- No, I talked to them each individually too but no one talked strategy with me so I didn't talk strategy with them.
- Parvati jumps in - Everyone's been avoiding me, I feel like a leper...
Is that just because you're used to getting a lot of attention in life?
- No Jeff, you're right, but no - I think everyone thinks I'm such a threat that they don't want to be associated with me.
- Colby pipes up - OR, it could mean we know you're going to be around for a few more days and we'll have time to talk later.
So you could be targeting someone else on the Villains?
- Could be. (Why would he say that?)
JT, has there been any talk about who has the hidden idols?
- It's been a big topic - I know I don't have one so I'm pretty worried about it ('Cause you gave it away, doofus.)
Parvati, topic of discussion on Villains tribe?
- Definitely, it broke a solid alliance on the Villains side so we worry.
Time to Vote:
All the Villains vote for JT and all the Heroes vote for Jerri! (I was just glad it wasn't Sandra - she's grown on me.)
Tallying the Votes: Courtney whispers again, "If that little troll plays an idol..."
If anyone has a hidden immunity idol and wants to play it, now is the time.
Parvati says - "Jeff, it would be depressing watching green bananas ripen without my Villains around so Sandra that's for you..." (All the Heroes exchange small relieved smiles) but she continues "...and to increase our odds even more, Jerri, this one's for you." Colby - Dammit (all those smiles are gone now.) Both Sandra and Jerri walk up and present Jeff with their matching idols. (Okay, that was kinda awesome - the first double hidden immunity idol blow out ever!)
Rupert mutters he knew they shouldn't have trusted that... (I think he was searching for bandy legged troll.)
Jeff reads the votes - any votes for Sandra or Jerri will not count:
Jerri - 1,2, 3, 4, 5 - do not count.
JT - 1 (and he hangs his head - you should feel shame) 2, 3... that's enough - JT is voted out of Survivor Heroes vs Villains.
JT shakes Russell's hand, "Well done." (I can't take Russell smirk - I just want to smack him, always.)
Russell says to Parvati, "You got some 'splaining to do." She giggle/smiles, "Secret."
So, with JT leaving that means - Gillian H. and Lynne B. are out of the pool.
Next time on Survivor - As Russell loses control of his Alliance (accuses Parvati of lying to him) - Sandra takes control of the game - Talking to Colby, "You want Russell out, Russell is out." She's been waiting to take him down for 30 days. (OH YEAH!)
JT's final thoughts - I feel like a total idiot right now (as you should.) People are Villains for a reason, don't trust them. Worse than that, don't trust women... (Wait, What? How did the women have anything to do with your grandiose assumptions? I didn't hear what else he said - good riddance, silly boy.)
Have a great weekend everyone,
Coleen

Survivor Heroes vs Villains - April 15th Episode Recap
Survivor History
Villains - Night 21
We open at the Villains camp as they return from voting off Coach.
-Jerri didn't see it coming; she had no clue - looking for reassurance from Danielle that she's not next. Danielle tells her it was really last minute and she didn't want to freak her out - but she promises Jerri she is not next.
-Jerri says Coach was her one true alliance - Now all she's got is Russell, Parvati and Danielle.
-Jerri goes to Russell and asks if he knew - he said he had a strong feeling but he wasn't writing his name down (Really? What does that matter?) Russell also promises her she's not going to be next. He feels great having 5 women left on his tribe now but he doesn't trust two of them - Sandra & Courtney will be the next to go. "I promise you dat."
Villains - Day 22
Tree Mail - Tells them their next reward challenge will test their endurance and threshold for pain. They must position themselves between two narrow walls, perched on narrow foot holds. This challenge was played in Tocantins (JT won and Coach hammed up his agony of defeat) - this time they will be paired against a member from the opposite tribe. They are told to rank their 5 members from strongest to weakest - this will determine who they are competing against on the opposite tribe.
-They discuss how to play this - Russell says he's the strongest but he is also the heaviest.
-Jerri says they should play with the 5 women - they're lighter, smaller feet - they'll have the upper hand. They know the Heroes will rank the guys as strongest; they're all guys with big egos...
Heroes - Day 22
Same tree mail and they're discussing the ranking - Rupert says he's going to do great at this. JT says the bigger you are the harder it is - Rupert - you can put me weakest then, I'm fine with it. JT - No, I'll take weakest if you're too proud. Rupert laughs - But he is bothered by being ranked weakest - he tells the camera he knows he's the strongest of the 11 people still out there - but they can put me weakest - that's fine (me thinks he doth protesteth too much.)
REWARD CHALLENGE
Heroes see Coach is gone - Rupert says that Girls Alliance is really strong (Russell grinning like a fool - is no one looking at him?) JT says he would have bet his life it would have been Russell or Coach gone.
Onto the Challenge:
They can use their arms to brace themselves between narrow walls with feet on very small footholds. Every ten minutes they will move down to even smaller footholds - once they reach the third and final footholds, they must stay there for as long as they can. Each person will be matched up against the opposite tribe in the order they ranked themselves. The tribe member that outlasts their match up will score a point for their tribe - first tribe to three points wins reward: feast by Outback Steakhouse (Steaks, baked potatoes, shrimp.)
Russell is sitting out for the Villains and here's how they matched up:
Danielle vs Candice - Courtney vs Amanda - Parvati vs JT - Jerri vs Colby (ooh, season 2 rematch) and Sandra vs Rupert (season 7 rematch.)
*Jeff also announces that today is the 100th day Amanda has played Survivor - she is the first person to reach that milestone. Congratulations you crazy woman!
-They begin and Sandra is working the mind games - she announces that she loves Outback Steakhouse - the week before her husband shipped out to Afghanistan, they went to Outback Steakhouse twice. (Playing the deployed soldier's wife card - nice.)
-Russell is making sad, puppy-dog eyes at JT from his bench. JT with serious face mouths to him to hang in there. (OH! You are getting played, son!)
-Russell is loving it - tells the camera he has planted the Russell seed and it's taken root - they believe it.
-They get down to the final foothold which is only 1/4" wide and they start falling - Colby first one out- Jerri scores a point for Villains - Rupert is doing his sweaty best but he's next out -and Sandra has the second point. They look to JT but he's bionic in this challenge - Parvati is shifting a lot but it's Amanda who's looking to be in agony - and she drops - the VILLAINS win Reward! Jerri cries, they are so jubilant at winning.
Reward
They are all drinking margaritas - Sandra sucks one back like nothing and orders up another. She tells the camera she feels bad she's having Outback Steakhouse without her soldier husband (doesn't look like she feels too bad) but they both have their jobs to do (I think she's looking for an endorsement deal out of this.)
-They all start digging in to their salads - Parvati comments that they are even using napkins when she realizes she has a clue to a hidden immunity in her napkin - she quickly sticks it in her underwear and hopes no one noticed - and it appears no one did.
-They proceed to eat and be merry, laughing at the Heroes belief that there is an all girl alliance.
-Jerri tells the camera - It's so not true - Russell's running the show - they have no idea what's going on over here. "It's Awesome!" Claps with evil glee.
-Parvati says she's full and is going to the bathroom - Danielle joins her and Parvati shows her what she got... the clue to the idol. They proceed to read it together. Parvati tells us that it is part of her plan to share with Danielle so she'll be closer to her than to Russell in the end. Danielle hides the clue under her big fake boobs - I guess at least they're good for something.
-Parvati tells us that they'll fill Russell in on a 'need to know' basis, and right now, he doesn't need to know.
Heroes - Day 22
-JT says he doesn't give a damn about a steak when he has a game to play... So he tells his tribe anyway - to the camera he says it was really tough, being a cattle rancher who lives on steak, to miss out on steak today.
-He tells the tribe if they win the next immunity challenge he has a plan. He wants to give the hidden immunity idol to Russell at the challenge if they win. Just hand it to him with a note telling him what to do with it (Oh, I'm sure that would go over well.) Votes out Parvati - Bam - Done. (OH GOD! Hahaha - can you imagine?)
-Amanda thinks it's really crazy - He could be in with the girls over there - we don't know (who would have thought Amanda would be the voice of reason?)
-Amanda asks Candice what she thinks and she says it could give us the numbers and get the idol away from him (JT) if he just gives it up. (Oh honey, you just don't know - Russell's on a whole other level.)
Villains - Day 23
-Parvati & Danielle are searching for the hidden idol - trying to be like little mice so Russell doesn't see them (with a shovel? Really?) But Russell does seem rather oblivious - I thought he was going to get suspicious but nope - they are able to dig and find the idol rather easily and they hide it from him - none the wiser.
-Parvati says she wants to keep him out of the loop - it doesn't mean she doesn't trust him; she just wants to see him squirm a little. "Russell's not the King of Survivor - I'm the Queen, and the King usually does what the Queen wants anyways."
Heroes- Day 24
-JT is writing a note to Russell and reading it out to the tribe - Telling him to vote Parvati and when they merge he'll be safe with them and they'll work on getting to the final 3.
-Rupert suggests, "This is your chance to prove you're not a Villain." (Proving he has no clue- Russell likes being a villain.)
-Colby - This is Survivor History (Yes, of BONEHEAD PLAYS!)
-JT - It could work y'all. But he's really nervous - they really feel Russell's on the outs so if they save him they'll have the numbers... they just have to win this challenge.
IMMUNITY CHALLENGE
JT's trying to catch Russell's eye and give him a little nod.
-Both tribes will start on a platform in the water - on Go, one member at a time must move a bag of puzzle pieces along a rope and through a series of obstacles to reach their mat. Once they have all 5 bags of puzzle pieces on the mat they must assemble them into a totem pole - first team done will win Immunity.
-Jerri & Rupert are the first out - she starts with a lead but he overtakes her - Meanwhile, JT is making meaningful, serious-face looks at Russell then he's next out. The Heroes are way ahead and remain in the lead - ends up the last two on the platforms are Colby and Russell (Oh, why Colby - I think Survivor has done more damage to this poor guy than anyone else)
Colby asks Russell if he's going home tonight - Mm Hmm - Colby tells him to go to JT after the challenge, he's going to give you something - use it tonight, protect yourself - get rid of one of them.
Russell - Who?
Colby - Parvati.
R - She's running the show (Hmm, more than he realizes)
C - Come on board with us.
R - Wish I could shake your hand.
C - Plenty of time for that later. And with that Colby is in the water and off winning Immunity for the Heroes.
(That was painful to watch, Colby was so serious and you know Russell is killing himself laughing on the inside. It is my hope that Russell and Parvati get to the final two and he loses to the girl he allowed to ride his coat tails - again. That would be AWESOME.)
-So, once the Heroes get the totem pole assembled the tribes congratulate each other and shake hands, etc and JT slips Russell the idol - they both just happen to have shorts with pockets and do you remember them all mingling after a challenge before? (I may be a little jaded but this all seems so contrived - What do you think? Real or Staged?) Russell looks like he's about to bust, he's so happy. I really can't believe they actually did it. Oh My Gravy!
-Russell tells the camera - Now I don't even have to find idols - people are actually giving me idols. You don't hand the enemy the idol - especially when his name is Russell Hanz - that's a no no. (I also notice he says his full name all the time now - trying to do some branding of his own? Can you tell I just watched a documentary on advertising?)
Heroes - Day 24
-JT - Damn, I'm good. (Sigh.) We got the idol out to Russell and we know he's gonna be on our side. We made Survivor History tonight guys. (They are all in such high spirits, if only they knew.)
-Rupert thinks Russell is probably beaming and having problems containing himself - Well, he is beaming as he and Parvati read the note...
Villains - Day 24
-They are amazed at JT's gall in writing a note and telling Russell what to do. Russell - "How do you give the Idol King an idol?" (Is that like the Dragon Slayer? Idol King?) "Here Mr. Russell, this is all for you. You know what - I think JT just handed me a million dollars - I guess he can afford it."
-Parvati gets to the part where they want her out - Why is everyone throwing me under the bus? (Cause they know you, honey) They don't even know what's going on over here. Parvati says to the camera - Why would you hand a Villain you're heart? Russell is just going to stab it a million times then hand it to me and I'm going to eat it (I'm really getting sick of her giggling.) What is wrong with him? I can't believe that kid won.
-Sandra & Courtney are sad - they get along like rice & beans - they know it's inevitable that one of them is going tonight but Sandra can't imagine herself there without skeleton girl.
-Russell, Danielle & Parvati confirm they are voting Courtney tonight.
-Courtney talking to Parvati says she'll be good to have after the merge because Amanda trusts her (Amanda played with Parvati too) and she (Courtney) will definitely stay true to Parvati. Parvati - Well in that case she'll see what she can do.
-Parvati tells us that she'd like to keep Courtney because she'll be on her side over Russell in the end - But she wants to stay low key so they don't think she has an alliance with Courtney.
-Russell, Parvati, Danielle and Jerri meeting - Russell shows them all the idol that the Heroes gave him - SHUT UP! Danielle can't believe it. Parvati says they are so stuck on the Girl thing and that's why I want to talk to you about Courtney... They start discussing who's more likely to flip - either - who's more likely to win in the end - Sandra. Jerri - So we're voting Sandra now? Russell says it doesn't really matter to him, they're both already gone in his mind. Parvati says she thinks she can keep Courtney in check way more than Sandra.
TRIBAL COUNCIL
-Coach comes in as the first member of the jury - in a silk kimono/robe, his hair neatly slicked into his half-pony and a huge feather around his neck. (Did Tyson not tell you...?)
Sandra, at the last tribal council, trust was a big theme - will it be again tonight?
- When I'm watching at home I know the person Jeff asks the trust question to, is the last person who should be answering it. I'm in trouble, I know I am - It's between me and Courtney.
Courtney - is that true? Yes.
Russell - any correlation between the fact that Sandra & Courtney are the one's most often sitting out of challenges?
- No, it's always who can I trust the most.
Danielle - what about Sandra's trustworthiness has her name coming up tonight?
- She's not in my alliance and I see how she's playing the game. She's able to manipulate people - I've seen her put things into people's minds that are not true - to stir the pot.
But the question was trustworthiness, not big mouth.
- Well, she's just not been on my side.
That's just not doing what you want her to do. (What's Jeff arguing with Big, Fake Boobs for?)
Sandra jumps in: Me & Boston Rob were together from the beginning and now I'm the one left.
Danielle - No, you two decided not to talk to me and I had nowhere to go. What was I supposed to do?
Sandra - That wasn't Sandra (why is everyone talking in the third person tonight?)
D- But you were part of it. How'd you think that made me feel?
S - What was I to do when you were running off with Parvati & Russell.
D- You did whatever Rob said.
S - You do whatever Parvati says.
S & D - No I'm my own person - Blah blah blah...(Move on already)
So, Parvati, are you the boss?
- Of course. If you ask the Heroes, I'm the boss, running a crazy woman's alliance over here.
What about Courtney is not trustworthy?
- For me it's not about trustworthiness but alliances. There was a strong division from the beginning of Boston Rob's girls and Russell's girls and Rob's gone.
Russell - I tell you what trust will do in this game. We were 10 and 3 of us really trusted each other and we're still here. If it's really true and you really believe it, you can make it all the way to the end in this game.
Courtney - Ring true to you?
- Yes, they are tight and you can't hate on them for that. Then she throws Jerri under the bus - Jerri denies she was with Rob's alliance at all - Courtney says - You voted against the alliance you're in now but you flipped just in time to save your butt - I didn't - so that's why I'm in trouble. (Oh, well played you poison-tongued, little viper, you.)
TIME TO VOTE - They don't show us how anyone voted.
Tallying the votes:
Jerri - 1
Courtney - 1, 2, 3, 4 - And Courtney is voted out of Survivor Heroes vs Villains. I thought maybe Sandra would go but I'm not surprised at this vote. Courtney - Bye, Bitches.
(They show Coach who is sitting cross legged with his hands in a praying posture under his chin - WTF?)
Jeff tells us tomorrow Parvati will join Amanda in hitting the 100 day mark of playing Survivor - Congrats.
-So, with Courtney leaving that means Cheryl B. and Katie L. are out of the pool.
Courtney's last thoughts - Has to say she's proud of herself - to make it to the jury was a dream so she could get all pretty and make the bitches jealous as they sit there in their dirty rags. Best part of Survivor experiences is there's nobody she intensely hates - so good luck.
Preview of next week - They Merge! 5 Heroes, 5 Villains - JT - Is that Parvati? Russell swears on his kids that he's 100% with them. Sandra tells Rupert that Russell's lying when he says the girls are running the show. (See, that's why I'm glad Sandra's still there.)
Have a great weekend everyone.

Amazing Race - April 11, 2010 Episode Recap
Dumb did us in. (Malaysia/Singapore)
Last night on the Amazing Race teams started out from Malaysia and got the clue they had to travel 400mi by bus and train to Singapore – once there, they must make their way to the Victoria Concert Hall and search for Allan Wu – host of the Amazing Race Asia (cool, I wonder how many other Amazing Races there are?) – to get their next clue.
-The Cowboys are the first out at 10:02am – Cord says he doesn’t think there is a bigger move you can make in this race than from last to first. “Ghostrider is in the saddle again.” They get a cab to the bus station and Cord is sweating (again or still? I don’t think Malaysia’s heat has been his friend.)
-Brandy & Carol are the next to depart at 10:12am (I like to see the times they leave, gives a better idea of how close together they actually were on the last leg.) They read that somewhere along this leg of the race there will be a U-Turn and are excited by that prospect. Brandy says she is so proud of 'us', working beautifully together. Carol wants to take some of the Cowboys mojo and leap-frog into first.
-Detectives head out at 10:31am
-Cowboys are on the first bus out at 10:47am – Think it’s a good omen the bus driver’s hat says Race.
-Brent & Caite are the next out at 10:50am – they are hoping someone will U-Turn the Lesbians (their nemesises.)
-Carol & Brandy get on the second bus out at 11:00am.
-Dan & Jordan are the last out at 11:09am – Say they weren’t going to throw elbows, you see what that got Joe – people like us and that can make or break the race for us.
-Detectives, Brent & Caite and Dan & Jordan all end up on the same bus and are discussing who they’d U-Turn. Detectives say they have to go with the girls because they’re world travelers and a huge threat. Caite says the Lesbians are just mean and they’re (Brent & Caite) 100% going to U-Turn them.
-Jordan & Dan figure they have convinced themselves the Lesbians are a threat because they just don’t like them – (Uh Duh. Who does like them?)
-All the teams are now en route to Kuala Lumpur by bus where they’ll catch the same train at 9:30pm for Singapore. At the train Carol says it doesn’t smell very good – Jordan is horrified at what the disinfectant wipe picks up – Michael is excited to be on a sleeping train and Louie is worried about farting in his sleep (Stay classy.)
-Train is arriving in Singapore and all the teams are standing in the aisle in the car – Carol & Brandy want to push their way through to the next car but no one will move for them – Someone says “Ladies get their way, b*tches don’t.” Carol pulls a face for the camera at that. (But really, what do they expect – oh, of course, we’ll let you in front of us all. Hello?)
-Everyone runs off the train and Caite takes a spill – she’s alright – Detectives get the first cab, Carol & Brandy next, Dan & Jordan (Jordan says – My kind of city, super clean – hmm, little bit of a princess this guy. I hope no one is chewing gum, isn’t that illegal there?) Brent & Caite get a cab which leaves the Cowboys, starting out another leg in last place.
-At the concert hall the Detectives go to the ticket window, no Allan Wu. Carol & Brandy head inside the building right away. Dan & Jordan have read the clue more closely and it says “Look in front of the building” they stay outside and are the first to find Allan Wu sitting outside. They get the clue and there is a Fast Forward available. They decide to go for it, not knowing what they’ll have to do.
-Fast Forward – The Singapore Flyer is the biggest observation wheel in the world. They have to ride up in a capsule to the top of the wheel’s 541ft where it will stop and they’ll have to climb out of their capsule and move along the wheel to the next capsule and climb in it. Once both complete the task they’ll by-pass all other tasks and go to the Pit Stop.
-Detectives, Lesbians and Brent & Caite are inside the concert hall – Allan Wu, where are you?
-Detectives decide to check outside just as the Cowboys get there and they all get their clues about the same time – DETOUR – Pounding the Drum or Pounding the Pavement.
In Pounding the Drum they must make their way to a park known as Speakers Corner and learn a complicated routine on traditional drums. When they think they’re ready they have to perform with the drum troupe to receive their next clue.
In Pounding the Pavement they must make their way to the pedestrian mall, pick up supplies including 10 boxes of ice cream then work an Ice Cream Uncle cart. They must sell 25 ice cream sandwiches which in Singapore is ice cream between wafers or actual bread (gross!) Once they’ve sold all 25 sandwiches the Ice Cream Uncle will give them their next clue.
-Cowboys decide to pound the drums – Jet asks if they should do the Fast Forward but Cord figures they don’t know what the FF is so he’d rather just match the other teams head to head (better the demon you know.) -Detectives also decide to do the drums – they all take off for Speakers Corner.
-Brent & Caite finally decide to look outside – Who’s that guy sitting there? Allan Wu? They get the clue and decide to do the drums – take off quick before the Lesbians can see them – they are still fixated on getting to the U-Turn first so they can U-Turn the Lesbians.
-Brandy looks out the window and see Allan Wu sitting outside – they are the last to get the clue – Also going to pound the drums and now not happy with themselves.
-Cowboys – How good are you at drums, Jet? Not very good – never did before… so they’ll probably ace it … or maybe not – apparently their natural abilities do not extend to rhythm.
-Brent & Caite – she’s shaking her booty along to get the rhythm – she says she can't sing worth crap but she’s got rhythm – (well you go!)
-Michael & Louie have absolutely no rhythm – Michael says he’s as white as white can be (and he’s not exaggerating.)
-Carol & Brandy see everyone is there but the Brothers – no one knows if they’re doing the ice cream or the fast forward. They choose a kid to teach them the drum routine who looks like he’s about 4 years old – he goes way too fast -Brandy says he's on crack (nice) – they abandon him (aw) and choose a slightly older kid – maybe he’ll slow it down for them a little.
-Michael wants to abandon this task and go for the Fast Forward – sure he’ll never get the drum routine. In the cab Michael is hoping Dan & Jordan chose to sell the ice cream – rolling the dice here.
-At the Singapore Flyer – Dan & Jordan get in the capsule and are told to put on a harness – Jordan – “What are we doing?” Guy tells them they’re climbing from one capsule to another – Jordan looks like he just wet himself. He’s so scared he’s wondering if he can even do this as the wheel starts taking them up.
-Michael & Louie get to the Singapore Flyer and the woman at the desk won’t tell them if anyone else was there – they had to take the elevator up and see a sign that the Fast Forward was in progress – Durn it! – they head back down to their cab but the driver has decided to take a potty break – Michael – We’re so screwed. The driver comes back at a run and they head off for the Ice Cream task. Michael is giving the driver a hard time – "He looks like he wants a bunch of ice cream sandwiches, huh?"
-Jordan is now climbing out of the capsule and along to the next – shaking like a leaf and talking to himself – "You can do this – you’re in a race for a million dollars."
-Back at the drums – Brent is not as rhythmical as Caite, he’s not sure if he can get it – she’s encouraging him to keep trying.
-Cowboys – Cord keeps messing up – Jet – Some things come natural, music is not one of those things for us.
-Carol is having problems too, she doesn’t think she’s going to get it and wants to change tasks, figures they’re wasting time. Brandy wants to stick it out so they keep trying.
-Back at the Fast Forward, Jordan successfully completes the move – says it is, and forever will be, the scariest thing he’s ever done. Dan is now doing it twice as fast as Jordan did – Jordan is so happy he decided to run this race with his brother. They win the Fast Forward and can go directly to the Marina Barrage – the Pit Stop for this leg of the race.
-Detectives get to the pedestrian mall and pick up the supplies. They head out to a marked ice cream cart and they start hocking their wares – big block of ice cream in a piece of bread (again, I say yuck!)
-Cord finally gets through the drum routine and their 8 year old teacher sends them up on stage – they start out well but Cord messes up.
-Seeing that, Brent & Caite make their move – the Cowboys are called off stage so Brent & Caite can give it a shot. Carol still can’t get the routine and it’s all Brandy’s fault of course.
-Brent & Caite get the routine right and get their next clue – they have to figure out they’re looking for a park at the corner of Penang & Orchard Rds where they’ll find their next clue. Caite – where’s the U-Turn though (she has only one thing on her mind) – Brent – It’ll be there.
-Dan & Jordan get to the Pit Stop and are Team #1! They won a motorbike each. Dan says there is no way either one of them will ever step on one – their mother would kill them. Jordan – It’s great though, we love it! (Phil’s face says “You better love it.” Ha!)
-Brent & Caite get to the park and see the U-Turn – She’s so EXCITED! They’re the first there so no one’s been U-turned yet (I think she’s just amazed that something is actually going their way for once.) It’s not a blind U-Turn this time so they also have to put their picture up but they don’t care – they’d shout it from the rooftops for everyone to hear I’m sure. They have now forced Brandy & Carol to do both Detour tasks. Caite, with an evil smirk, “They brought it on themselves.”
-The clue tells them to head to a shipyard to get their next clue. They hop in their taxi and head out.
-Michael & Louie are doing well selling the ice cream – they need to sell 10 more when their cab driver steps up and buys out their last 10 (wow, he must really feel guilty about that pee break.) They get the clue and head off for the corner of Orchard and Penang and the U-turn.
-Carol & Brandy are finally going to try the drumming on stage – Carol is still grousing that she asked Brandy to leave an hour ago – Brandy - Let’s see if we can beat the Cowboys. (They’re going to have to do it anyway so might as well get it over with… though they don’t know that yet.) They are successful! Though barely, Carol thought she messed up at the end but they got the clue – I think maybe the kids just wanted them gone. They take off for the U-Turn.
-Michael & Louie are let out on Penang but not at Orchard – have to head to the next corner.
-Carol & Brandy get to the park and see Brent & Caite have U-Turned them – And it Begins. Carol smacks Brent & Caite’s picture on the board – she U-Turned us because you’re prettier than she is – Unbelievable! (But is it, really?) Brandy is ranting – Flat out stupid, but let’s be honest, she hasn’t built a career on intelligence. She’s an idiot and is on you tube to prove it. (How is it stupid to mess up a competitor’s game? It seems pretty smart to me.) The ranting continued – Shows their level of intelligence, we haven’t won a leg – you don’t keep the stronger teams in to wipe their asses up. (Or, you make friends with other teams and they’re less likely to U-Turn you – but I don’t that ever even crossed their minds.) It goes on – Lesbians behaving badly – and they prove why no one likes them.
-In the cab Carol tries to get Brandy focused on using her ‘charm’ to sell ice cream – F*ck charm right now. (Yeah, so charming.)
-Louie and Michael finally stumble on the park and are happy to see Brent & Caite did what they were ‘supposed’ to do and U-Turned the Lesbians – good job kids. They head off for the Shipyard.
-Brent & Caite get to the shipyard and get the clue for the Roadblock – Inspecting an enormous anchor chain. They have to count all the links in the chain (521) and if they come up with the right number they will receive their next clue. Brent is going to do the task for them. There are workers grinding and pounding sheet metal nearby, they are announcing numbers over the PA – it’s a LOT of distractions. Brent is writing down every hundred he counts and yelling at everyone to shut up.
-Cowboys finally finish the drumming – Cord is so relieved he throws his hat in celebration – I never wanted to be a drummer. They get the clue and head for the U-Turn.
-Lesbians show up at the ice cream supply area and are totally sniping at each other (Get it together ladies, you’re still my team.) Carol is complaining about every little thing – umbrellas are heavy, tied together – bicker, bicker, snipe. They fight about what cart – Brandy refuses to be in the sun, Carol says this one will get more traffic. Then they snarl at people to buy their ice cream – No swine flu. (Nice – I see Brandy has decided to use her charm. I wouldn’t buy ice cream from these two either.)
-Detectives glad they convinced Brent & Caite that the Lesbians were a bigger threat than them. (They don’t understand women – Caite just plain didn’t like them so they must pay.) Louie thinks it will be nice to be in the final three with the Cowboys and Brent & Caite (don’t go counting chickens now.)
-Brent gets the counting right on his first try – Go Brent! They get the clue to head for the Mega Zip – (cool! What is that?)
-Cowboys get to the U-Turn and are glad it wasn’t them – Cord says “Poor Carol and Brandy.” (And I don’t think it was sarcastic, he really is just a good ol’ boy.) They head out for the shipyard.
-Carol & Brandy are begging people to buy their ice cream – They start slow but it gets going once the plant – er, a customer – comes and buys 2. They finish out selling 25 gross-ness sandwiches and head back to the park to get the clue for the shipyard.
-Michael & Louie at the Roadblock – Michael will do the task for them, he coaches little league and has a pitch counter in his bag – it’ll be easy peasy to count the links with that. They both have to suit up in overalls and Michael’s are totally floods – he’s a little taller than the average Singapore man.
-Cowboys get to the Roadblock and Jet is going to add some stress to his day and do the counting for them.
-Brent & Caite get to the Mega Zip and get the clue that they’ll have to ride the 1200 ft zip line atop the jungle canopy – Caite is SO EXCITED (I don’t know how to type the squeal in – but you can imagine.) They do the zip line and love it – “That was wicked cool.” They get the clue to the Pit Stop – Marina Barrage.
-Carol & Brandy get back to the U-Turn and get the clue to go to the shipyard – they are still fuming and calling Brent & Caite stupid (you’re the ones looking stupid at this point ladies.)
-At the Roadblock – Michael gets the count right the first time but they’ve forgotten the clipboard at the main building and he can’t get the clue until he presents his clipboard – so they have to go retrieve it.
-Carol & Brandy show up as Michael & Louie are heading back to the count – Carol is going to do the counting for them.
-Jet finishes and gets the count right – he gets his clue just as Michael gets back with his clipboard. The Cowboys are now ahead of the Detectives. Cowboys jump in their cab and head for the Mega Zip – The Detectives get out front and realize their cab driver has left them – Michael tries to steal the girls cab – tells the driver 'they’re mean anyway' but he won’t abandon them. Michael ends up paying a woman $20US to give up her cab to them and she does so they’re off to the Mega Zip. They’re stressing out because Carol & Brandy are so close behind them still.
-Cowboys doing the Mega Zip – Look ma, no hats! – They loved it (Looks so fun) but are worried that the Detectives are breathing down their necks so grab their next clue and take off for the Pit Stop.
-Carol & Brandy get the chain count right the first time and head out – their cab driver tells them the Detectives tried to steal their cab – another reason for them to be bitter… but they’re actually trying to be nice to their cab driver now.
-Michael & Louie get to the amusement park and are looking for the Mega Zip.
-Carol & Brandy also arrive and look for the Mega Zip.
-Detectives do the zip line – Louie is smitten with the gorgeous young girl that gives them the clue to the Pit Stop (focus buddy, in a race here.)
-Carol & Brandy do the zip line and once back in their cab are again bad mouthing Brent & Caite – No respect for them, have no game (Yet they’re ahead of you.)
Here’s how they finished:
1) Dan & Jordan – maybe Mom will let them try out their bikes?
2) Brent & Caite – Phil asks them about U-Turning Brandy & Carol – Caite says they’ve been nothing but rude and nasty to her – Phil says it sounds like they picked on the wrong team. Yup, they brought it on themselves.
3) Jet & Cord – After their drumming fiasco, 3rd is good. Cord says the closest thing to a musical instrument they play is the radio.
4) Louie & Michael – So happy they’re still in it.
5) Carol & Brandy **ELIMINATED** - Brandy says there is no reason for Caite & Brent to have U-turned them (How about they wanted to beat you?) “Dumb did us in, that’s all I can say.”
Phil tells them Caite said she did it because they were rude to her.
Brandy, “Oh, I’ll be rude to her now because it just doesn’t make any sense.”
Carol says at some point they’ll get over the stupidity of today and enjoy the richness of the experience – and they’ll translate that into first grader language for Brent & Caite. (Hey, they were smart enough to beat you. Maybe one day she’ll see they played a better social game and that got them farther in the race… but I doubt it.)
So, with Brandy & Carol making their exit, Bob L, Lee G., Shelley A. and yours truly are out of the pools. (I have mixed feelings - I would have liked an all female team to win but they were not nice people... sad to lose but glad they're gone.)
**Next week the Amazing Race will not be on because of some Country Music Awards show – so in 2 weeks we’ll see if the teams can hold on (show wind blowing big cards away) or crumble under pressure (Jordan crying and hugging his brother with doughy hands and a chef outfit.)
Have a great week everyone.

-Brent & Caite get to the Mega Zip and get the clue that they’ll have to ride the 1200 ft zip line atop the jungle canopy – Caite is SO EXCITED (I don’t know how to type the squeal in – but you can imagine.) -Carol & Brandy get back to the U-Turn and get the clue to go to the shipyard – they are still fuming and calling Brent & Caite stupid (you’re the ones looking stupid at this point ladies.)

Survivor Heroes vs Villains - April 8th Episode Recap
Expectations
Last night on Survivor – Jeff asks off the top of the show: How will losing Rob’s leadership and challenge dominance affect the Villain’s tribe. Has Russell’s ego put them in a hole they can’t get out of?
Villains – Night 18
-Russell is gloating – Big shot Boston Rob, All-star’s got nothing on me. I’ll take car of all of them one at a time. I’m Russell Hanz and if you aint with ME, you’re against ME.
-Parvati says she knew she picked the right guy – that was awesome.
-Danielle & Parvati reveling – I love blindsiding people – especially when they deserve it.
Next day Coach is talking to the camera – I did not want to vote off Boston Rob – we screwed up the whole tribe – ridiculous that they’re cowards and want to vote out Rob. ‘Cause Russell is a bully - no more, no less, he’s a bully. (Cowards? Who didn’t have the balls to put Russell’s name down like he said he would? Hello Pot? It’s the Kettle calling – sheesh.)
Jerri to Coach – I hope we made the right choice – I didn’t want to vote Rob this early – I miss him already.
Coach – Then why were you so quick to get rid of him? (What? Why didn’t you force a tie?) Coach says he feels he was forced to go along with Jerri and align with Russell. He feels it’s an alliance based on lies (Arrgghh!) Now he’s blaming Jerri – Asks her, “Are we going to the final 5 with them or are we going to make a play?” (I know how bout you make a play, Mr. Dragon Slayer.)
Jerri – I say we see how it goes into the merge.
Coach feels Russell is a piece of work and he thinks the Villains are in the crapper, won’t win another challenge – “We’re toast.”
Heroes – Day 19
-Everyone is puttering around camp when someone says – Where’s JT? I don’t know… He’s off looking for the hidden immunity idol (that stinker.) It was his proclamation that they’d all look for it together but he feels it’s in his best interest to know where it’s at (unbelievable) – he’s just going to swing by and take a gander… And he finds it. Right away he’s thinking he’s got to hide it when Amanda comes along… and he’s forced to show her – then Candice walks up and he figures if he comes clean it will bring them together as a tribe and no one will vote him out for having it (bull, you got caught so now you’re trying to pretend you were going to share all along.) He shows Rupert and Colby too and says the first person who needs it after the merge will use it. (Uh huh.)
-Candice has his number – whispers to Amanda that it was a good thing she walked up when she did. Candice thinks JT is the slimiest guy out there – he’s running the tribe, he’s always flipping back and forth and everyone is always seeking his favour (he’s the anti-Russell – or would Russell be the anti-JT?) Candice starts working Amanda – says she’s worried to say anything against JT because he’s so well liked but it would be in her [Amanda’s] best interest to work with Candice to get rid of JT or get rid of the idol whichever – JT is dangerous. (But he’s still more likeable than her, so I don’t see that really happening.)
Villains – Day 19
-Danielle & Russell eating blackened hermit crab, shell and all – they are all starving. Coach tells the camera that he’s worried – they’re all shutting down - but when Jerri says they’re all going to die he puts on his macho persona – I don’t need to eat – I can survive on nothing – meanwhile he’s telling the camera the time for exigency has exited – it’s do or die time out here. (Sometimes I wonder if he has alter personalities and they’re not all aware of what the others are doing – he’s really mental in his head.)
-Tree mail – Says they’re in for some good clean fun and the best meal yet is calling… they are hoping and praying it’s the merge so they pack up their camp – tarp, toolbox, the works and head out to the challenge.
Reward Challenge
-Table is set with pizza and soda… Heroes shocked that Boston Rob was gone and seeing the Villains with all their gear Colby says it looks like a merge – wonders what they missed in the tree mail clue. Jeff asks Rupert if he was surprised Rob was gone – Rupert says it sure looks like there is an all-girl alliance on the Villains side – Russell loves hearing that – he’s looking forward to playing the poor man needing their help so they’ll tell him all their plans.
-Jeff comments on the Villains bringing their camp with them – Russell says they're prepared for the merge – Heroes aren’t.
Jeff says, “You all will have an opportunity to enjoy the feast. Everyone drop your… expectations… you are not merging. This is a Reward Challenge – you win, you eat."
Survivor Bowling. They will square off one on one against the other tribe. Each member will get two balls, the person knocking down the most pins will win a point for their tribe. First tribe to three will win the pizza feast.
-Villains have to sit out two players and Coach declares he wants to eat so he sits the weaker Sandra & Courtney – not a popular choice.
First round: Parvati vs Rupert – Parvati gets 2 gutter balls – Rupert wins the first point with 3 pins.
Next round: JT vs Danielle – JT gets 6 pins to Danielles gutter balls – Heroes up 2-0
Next round: Russell vs Colby – Russell gutter – Colby gutter – Russell 5 – Colby 1 – Villains on the board – 2-1
Next round: Coach vs Amanda – Coach 5, Amanda 5, Coach 1 more, Amanda – 2 – And the HEROES win their 3rd straight challenge and a feast.
Villains have to slog all their stuff back to camp – HA!
Reward
-Amanda feels they’re on a bit of a roll but she doesn’t want to jinx it – they’re feeling like they’re finally catching up. They all chow down.
-JT says he wasn’t ready to merge yet – Rupert agrees, wants to get rid of at least two more first. What about Boston Rob? Bold move.
-JT says the moment he saw Boston Rob voted out it was obvious there is an all-girl alliance – Coach & Russell are on the outs (Oh, you are soo wrong – it’s Russell and his dumb-ass girls – The Hillbilly magic isn’t working so well for JT today.) Candice says their girls can go along and find out how they’re voting in the merge. JT figures if they merged they’d have Coach & Russell on their side in a heartbeat (oh boy.)
-They toast to the family – The Fantastic 5.
Villains – Day 19
Jerri – Everyone on this tribe is an idiot! She’s furious – voting out Boston Rob was a mistake – packing up the whole cmap on the assumption of a merge – are you kidding me? Rob would have made sure Sandra & Courtney didn’t sit this challenge so we’d have strong people for immunity.
-Jerri starts in on everyone – Why did Sandra & Courtney sit? That was stupid.
Sandra – I can hear you. Why are you blaming us? We didn’t do anything.
Jerri says she’s not blaming them but they could have spoken up (then Coach wouldn’t have been so stupid?) Maybe this wouldn’t have happened again (Why didn’t she speak up at the time then? Wow, these guys really like to blame everyone else.)
-Sandra says to the camera – Worst tribe ever put together is the Villains tribe – I shouldn’t even be here, I should be with the Heroes. I can’t stand Jerri, I hate Coach, I hate Danielle and I hate Russell even more (but tell us how you really feel.)
-Courtney & Sandra talking – know that with Tyson & Rob gone they’re the next on the block. Sandra says, “Want to get even with Coach?” she knows Russell’s the kind of guy that if he thinks someone’s gunning for him he’ll take him out so she’s going to put a bug in his ear that Coach is gunning for him. “I bet you Russell will believe me and Coach will be gone. Let me do my magic and I guarantee you we’ll be here on day 22 & 23.”
-Coach is talking to Courtney on the beach telling her he doesn’t want to play this game with these people – Russell sees them talking - Coach – I didn’t want to play without Tyson or Boston Rob except all that’s out the window. Courtney says - I guess you feel guilty or something- I know I’m the next to go – It’s based on what Russell wants his Survivor to be like and everyone is going along with it out of fear or something. (Can I just say that Courtney is way too skinny – ew.)
-Russell & Sandra are talking he says he sees Courtney talking to Coach but it doesn’t matter – he (Russell) will tell them how to vote and they’ll do it.
-Sandra tells him that she heard Coach tell Jerri that he made a mistake letting Boston Rob go home and he was sorry and now he wants to get rid of Russell… I don’t know about your homeboy.
-Russell says he is my homeboy but I don’t trust him – he’s digging his own grave just like Rob did saying stuff like that.
-Sandra to the camera – Russell is so stupid – I told him Coach was talking about voting for him and he ate that crap up! Russell you don’t know how to play this game – yeah, he did good so far but with me he don’t know what he got himself into.
-Russell to Parvati – Coach is gonna flip – he’s mad at me for getting rid of Rob and he’s gonna flip.
Parvati – Who does he think he is?
(As Coach is doing his Dragon Chi in the water behind them – I’ve often wondered who he thinks he is.) Russell – Beautiful thing about this is if he goes, there’s one guy left and the Heroes will be convinced there is a girls alliance – if we merge they’ll be scared to talk to the girls but they’ll surely talk to me. (Argh, that grin – he is such a bandy-legged little troll.)
Parvati – It’s all falling together perfectly, mwah ha ha.
IMMUNITY CHALLENGE
Oh, it’s going to be muddy folks! They will be belted together in pairs – they’ll race through the mud going under and over a series of obstacles to retrieve a flag then race back – first pair back with the flag scores a point for their tribe – first tribe to 2 points wins Immunity. As there is an uneven number one heat will be one-on-one. Jerri & Danielle are b*tchily sitting out for the Villains.
First match – Russell & Sandra take on Candice & Amanda – Sandra really slows them down and Heroes get the first point (Russell is fuming.)
Next – One-on-One Coach vs Rupert – they are neck and neck but Coach is faster in the last stretch and ties it up. 1-1
Lastly – JT & Colby vs Courtney & Parvati – No contest – Courtney is pathetic and twists her ankle – HEROES WIN IMMUNITY!
-Villains all look really mad – Danielle – I want Courtney gone, it’s not fair to keep people in the game that have no physical ability at all (Huh, should have thought of that before you got rid of Rob.)
Villains – Day 21
They’re all washing off the mud – Coach – everyone is down, hurt, nauseous (makes a slow fist pump) and the Dragon Slayer is just coming into his own (sweeping arm movements) (Oh gag me!) Coach is on a high because he’s the only one that scored but they still lost – He says he’s feeling full of energy and it’s time for him to shine – hand gestures – off into the horizon. Anyway – we’re going to Tribal tonight and part of me says I should just jet rid of Russell tonight. He’s knocked out both my friends in this game but the way we keep losing challenges, to hold on to the weaker girls might be a mistake. So I guess I’ll stay with the forced 5 alliance and vote out Courtney who’s the weakest link.
-Later it gets stormy and Coach asks Russell if anything strange is going on. He says everything’s the same as far as he’s concerned. I get my mind set on one thing and I do it. If you can’t trust em, you gotta get rid of em. (Coach doesn’t realize they’re talking about different things, I’m thinking.)
-Russell tells the camera – Sandra says Coach wants me gone – I’ve talked to Parvati and she’s on board voting Coach out – Sandra & Courtney will vote with me, so the Dragon Slayer is going home tonight.
-Danielle to Russell – Here’s how it is, we have to keep Coach right now – if we don’t merge we’re going to keep losing challenges and we’re done.
Russell – That’s going to happen anyway…
Danielle – Because of Courtney and Sandra. At least with him we’ll have some sort of shot.
Russell – I don’t know what you’re thinking, how you’re playing the game (Oh, she dared contradict him – Bye-bye Danielle.) We keep Coach and lose the next one, your butt’s on the line for that.
Danielle – You’re freaking out right now – chill out – It’s STUPID to let him go (Oh! She called Russell stupid – I’m kinda liking Danielle right now, too bad she’s going to be marked.)
Russell – I just told you I don’t agree.
She yells at him – You’re not listening to me.
He tells her he’s not talking to her no more and he walks away… I don’t want to talk to you – (I LOVE IT!)
-Danielle says to the camera – that she thinks it’s stupid to get rid of the physically stronger Coach but Russell freaked out cause he’s so in control of the game and everything has to be his way so she’s up in the air right now.
-Sandra saw Danielle & Russell arguing and tells Courtney she’s not sure if her attempt to get rid of Coach will be successful. She fears it could still be Courtney tonight.
-Russell comes back and talks to Parvati & Danielle – says he’s had a change of heart – Danielle may be right and they should hold on to Coach one more time – we can always take him out any time we want – I think we should take out Courtney. (Whoa, what just happened there?)
-Parvati tells the camera – It’s absurd, first it’s Coach then Courtney – this tribe cannot get its act together – it’s a problem – we can’t make a decison as a cohesive unit to save our lives.
-Danielle swings by Courtney & Sandra – You guys cool? Sandra – Couldn’t be any cooler.
-Courtney – hopefully we all come together and vote out the Dragon Slayer but who knows – they might still target me to take out the weakest.
TRIBAL COUNCIL
Going back to the past 2 tribal councils, you voted out Tyson & Rob and have 4 straight losses – Danielle, any second thoughts voting out Tyson and Rob?
- The decision was made – thought it was smart to take out the 2 biggest threats – it is what it is Jeff. We thought it was right thing to do.
But in a physical challenge, Coach was the only on that got a point and I think 99% of people would take a Tyson or Boston Rob over a Courtney (no disrespect) but you have sat out most of the challenges.
- Courtney – I don’t have a big ego and have to be part of every challenge. I wasn’t a part of voting out Rob or Tyson so insulting me is not going to bring them back.
It was not an insult – it was meant as one person’s observation – Rob was dominating and to hear Danielle talk, that’s why you voted him out.
- Courtney – I didn’t vote him out – he was not in the dominating alliance (Russell grins at that.)
Coach – what do you think the take is from the outside looking in?
- I think they’re laughing at us and think we deserve it. I tried to rally us today and got [lukewarm] we’ll do our bests.
- Courtney pipes up – at the Reward challenge Coach says he wants to eat, so A-Squad out – we’ll put the weak people in the immunity challenge so one of them’ll go home.
- Coach – So you’re saying I’m the reason moral is down?
- Jeff – That’s what I heard. (He’s such a sh*t disturber.)
- Coach – I don’t make unilateral decisions and have you sit out every challenge – you can’t – but what I want is for you to say, “I’m going to win this challenge.”
- Courtney – Thanks Dad.
- Danielle – He’s a Coach, that’s what he does.
- Courtney – I’m not saying you don’t mean well…
- Coach – Trust me, I am not the one demoralizing this tribe.
Parvati, are you concerned there may not be an end to this slide?
- I don’t think it’s that hard to see they’re physically stronger than us and if we keep having these physical challenges we’ll keep losing.
- Courtney – there’s no merge so it’s now get rid of the weak and I’m the poster child for the weak Survivor – but I’ve outlasted stronger players and I’m a skinny bitch but I’ll put up with a lot of crap to get to the end. (She and Sandra fist-bump.)
Russell – how will tonight’s vote affect this tribe?
- If you can keep the tribe stronger and keep trust in place that’s what you need to do. That’s what I’m doing tonight.
- (Courtney gives a ‘see what I mean’ look.)
TIME TO VOTE
Courtney votes for Coach and says – You’re a freakin lunatic – I’m just glad I don’t have to live with you anymore. Nice feather in your hair.
TALLYING THE VOTES:
Coach – 1, 2
Courtney – 1, 2
Coach – 3, 4 - Whoa – NO WAY – That did surprise me – COACH is voted out and the first member of the jury. (So we do get to see more of the crazy at the finale.)
So that means, Kevin & Elaine R. and Sue & Hannelore are out of the pools.
Coach’s last thoughts – I never thought that I’d be going out so soon – I had so much that I wanted to accomplish and prove – I’m exhausted and still in a state of shock (Me too – Russell voted Courtney and the women all voted Coach – Huh – maybe there will be an all-girl alliance after all) More pissed off than I’ve been in a number of years and I’m not a vindictive person but I hope they get bumped off the face of the planet. (No, not vindictive at all – hahaha.)
Preview of next week – There have been a lot of dumb moves in Survivor history but you may see the moment to top them all – JT is saying, “If I get the chance to talk to Russell, I may give him the hidden immunity idol…” (What?! Ha ha ha… that would be Priceless.)
Have a great weekend everyone,
Coleen
Amazing Race - April 4th, 2010 Episode Recap
You’re Like Jason Bourne, Right? (Malaysia)
Sunday night on the Amazing Race - the teams are starting out from the Seychelles Islands – Steve & Allie are the first out at 7:22pm – get the clue to fly over 5700 miles to the city of Penang, Malaysia. When they land they must make their way to the Snake Temple (Yes, it was exactly what it sounds like – a temple that houses and worships snakes (eek).) The teams must take the 2am boat over to the island with the airport so they will all be travelling together.
-Steve & Allie have only the clothes on their backs for the rest of the race – glad Malaysia is somewhere warm anyway so they won’t be scrambling for warmer clothes. They get plastic bags from the hotel to carry their things.
-Dan & Jordan next out at 7:36pm – Jordan’s dream is to win the Amazing Race – Dan is having fun and helping see that dream come true (hopefully.)
-Brent & Caite next out – then the Detectives at 9:16pm
-Carol & Brandy out at 10:16pm – Carol says they are way more competitive than even we gave us credit for – Carol surprised they are as strong a team as they’ve been, but glad of it, too. Not liking the sound of the Snake Temple though.
-Louie says he likes working with Brent & Caite, they’re good kids, respectful, kids you’d be proud to call your own.
-Caite calls them the daddies – they all like snakes – Louie has St Michael killing the serpent tattooed on his arm – they say the serpent in this race so far has been Carol (ORLY?)
-The Detectives see Carol & Brandy as a threat – they seem to speak a bit of every foreign language – they’ve got to get rid of them. They’ve trained their wolf cubs (Brent & Caite) If you get the chance to U-Turn anyone, U-Turn the Lesbians. Brent – It’s unanimous (Vocab word of the day.)
-Cowboys are the last out at 10:22pm – Think the odds are definitely against them this leg – with the speed bump thrown in there. Jet says failure is not an option – the only time you fail is if you quit – that’s always been their mentality in rodeo. Giving up is not in their character – going to take this second chance and take advantage of it.
-Michael gives Steve some underwear and a hat – says Steve is somebody he wouldn’t mind seeing in the final 4 – how do you not help somebody like that?
2:00AM and all the teams are off on the boat then all will be on the same flight – Cowboys say right now they’re all tied for 6th – and 1st – better than being 6th all by themselves – True. (They’re so cute! I can’t stand it.) All teams are now on the 21 hour trip back through Dubai then on to Penang, Malaysia.
-Brent & Caite are the first out of the airport, Steve & Allie, Detective, Lesbians, Brothers, Cowboys: Jet – How do you say ‘fast’ in Malaysian? Cord – Fast.
-Dan & Jordan’s cab driver is speed racer and he passes all the other teams and gets them to the Snake temple first – where they get the clue for the DETOUR – Buddhist Tradition or Chinese Custom.
In Buddhist Tradition – teams must make their way to a Buddhist Temple, choose 12 giant incense sticks and carry them up 150 steps – at top, place in giant burner and ignite the tips – once ceremonial fire is lit they’ll get their next clue.
In Chinese Custom – teams must make their way to a park and choose a pair of enormous flags used to celebrate Chinese New Year, balancing the 32ft poles on their foreheads they must walk 120ft across the park – if they can do it without dropping the flag - they’ll get their next clue.
-Dan & Jordan choose the Buddhist Tradition and kick themselves for letting the best cab driver in the world go – they thought the task would be at the same place, but that’s not the case.
-Brent & Caite also choose Buddhist Tradition. Steve & Allie choose Chinese Custom (balance one). Detectives choose Buddhist Tradition and the Cowboys choose the balance one too.
-At the cabs – Steve asks the detectives what they’re doing – they say ‘incense’ and Steve switches – follow them, then.
-The Cowboys cab left them – Brent & Caite found one but the Cowboys are still in last place – ‘Dag Gummit!’ – Someone calls them a cab.
-Detective's cab passes the Lesbians & the Brothers – Michael – “I’m feeling the love – You’re like Jason Bourne, right?” Lesbians pass again and take a different route – They are the first ones to the temple.
-Cowboys get a cab – still hopeful – who knows how the day will go. It must be hot there cause Cord is sweating like crazy!
-At the temple the Lesbians are choosing their incense sticks – they are huge and heavy – Carol & Brandy realize they’re not going to be albe to carry them all in one trip. They start up the stairs with the first 2 – carrying them together like a stretcher – Carol – Why do I always choose these physical tasks? Brandy – I don’t know.
-Brent & Caite are there now choosing their 12 incense sticks – carrying them the same way.
-Detectives, Brothers, Allie & Steve – stuck in traffic. Steve can’t stand it, asks the driver how far the temple is, he tells them 5 minutes and he jumps out of the cab, deciding to walk. Dan & Jordan decide to do the same – the Detectives see this but stay in their cab.
-Cowboys get to the park. Cord – Those are the biggest flags you could get? (They’re huge!) Are we the only one’s that came here? Oh my gravy.
Cord of course, being good at everything, throws the flag up on his head, runs across the field and he’s done. (Isn’t that just sickening?) Jet has a bit more trouble with it but as soon as he gets the balance right, off he goes and they are done. Get the clue to make their way to Teluk Behang, they take off in their cab.
-Steve & Allie and the Brothers are still walking looking for the temple – they stop and ask directions and see the Detectives drive by them – starting to realize it was a bad idea to get out of the cabs.
-At the incense task, Brent & Caite are going great guns, it’s their mission to pass the Lesbians this leg I think. It’s really hot and Carol & Brandy are taking breaks in the shade going up all those stairs. The Detectives get to the temple and get set to start on the incense toting.
-Cowboys get to the next destination and get their Speed Bump – they must go to the tropical spice garden where they prepare spice teas – they must sniff a prepared spice then choose the correct tea made from it to present to the guru who’s meditating in a chair swing. If they choose the right tea they will get to move on to the next task like the rest of the teams. They hope the rest of the teams are having all types of fits. (I think they’re getting their wish.)
-Carol & Brandy are having all types of fits – Carol is getting light-headed carrying the heavy incense in the heat – up stairs… Michael & Louie get going and Michael has two sticks to Louie’s one – he runs them up the stairs – Louie is coughing up a lung – Cardio is not his friend. Brent & Caite catch up/pass the Lesbians but they are all still working – this is a grueling task.
-Cowboys get to the spice garden – Jet’s sinuses have been all stopped up but the spice was so strong, he can still smell it – they agree on the tea (one of three) – take it to the guru… and they’re wrong! Dag Gummit! They head back and choose the other tea they thought it might be and they’re good this time. Get the okay to head back to Teluk Behang. From here on out they’re doing the same thing as everyone else so if they can stay solid it will even everything out. Cord is sweating so much he looks like he’s been swimming with his clothes on – I don’t think heat & humidity are his friends.
-Jordan & Dan and Steve & Allie are still jogging through the streets looking for the temple – Steve & Allie’s cab come up and they jump back in – but they’re just yards from the temple at this point – only… it’s not the right temple. Dan & Jordan try to steal Steve & Allie’s cab but he’s loyal and Steve & Allie jump in – realizing the cab driver doesn’t know where the correct temple is, Steve decides to switch to the Flag task instead and they head off for the park. Dan & Jordan now need a cab – they’re not sure where to go but they know they don’t want to walk anymore… they find a cab and are again heading for the incense task-temple.
-Cowboys get back to the clue box and still don’t see any other teams – They are currently in First Place – by a big margin – ROADBLOCK. They have to smash coconuts until they find one that has a bright colour inside. Then, using a piece of their coloured coconut, they have to build an offering, called a float, to present to the guru in the water, who will send it out to sea and give them their next clue.
Cord says – you do it – (since he’s basically a talking puddle at this point) – Jet says okay and heads out in his black hat, black shirt and jeans – smashing armloads of coconuts on the cement pad.
-Brent & Caite finally get all their incense sticks up and lit – they get their next clue and head out – So happy in the cab that they passed the Lesbians.
-Carol & Brandy finish next – the Detectives are done too and notice Steve & Allie still aren’t there though the Brothers have now arrived and are starting their first ascent with the incense.
-Steve & Allie get to the park and tell their cab driver to go around and meet them on the other side – Allie, as soon as she sees the flags, says she can’t do this. She barely tries, says she can’t do it so they decide to get back in the cab and do the incense thing after all… only the cab driver is gone – they have to find a new cab. (Wow, Steve seems all over the place this leg, maybe losing their bags affected them more than they thought it would.)
-Jet finally finds a coloured coconut and then he has to make the float – first time for arts & crafts, says he’s not really crafty – but then no one else is even there yet so he can take all the time he needs. Jet gets it done – has it cast out to sea and they get the next clue… for the PIT STOP – Pinang Peranankan Mansion.
-Brent & Caite’s cab driver takes them to the wrong temple – I’m starting to realize there are a LOT of temples in Malaysia.
-As the Cowboys take off in their cab the Lesbians are just arriving at the Roadblock and spot them – How did they get that far ahead? (They are naturally gifted athletes, it’s kind of disgusting really.) I bet if they’d done the incense thing, they’d have just run the whole time and come in first too.
Carol is finally doing a Roadblock for them – gets to smashing the coconuts.
-Steve & Allie finally arrive at the incense task – see the Brothers there and get started.
-Carol finds a coloured coconut – heads over to build her float as the Detectives get there – Louie smashes two coconuts and finds a coloured one (Lucky!) So he heads over to build a float too.
-Brent & Caite finally get there and are shocked these two teams passed them – Caite is doing the smashing.
-Dan & Jordan have all their incense up at the temple and are lighting it – snapping at each other – Dan says this has been the hardest leg so far – for sure. They get the clue and head out for the next task.
-Steve & Allie still slogging along – she’s kind of freaking out but they’re just doing what they have to do to get it done.
-Carol finishes her float and gets the clue to the Pit Stop.
-Louie finishes his too and gets the clue.
-Caite is still smashing coconuts – the Detectives yell encouragement to her on their way by but she’s pouting and smashing. She finally finds a coloured one though and makes her float and gets the clue – in the cab on the way to the Pit Stop Brent is still choked that the Lesbians got ahead of them (Dude, let it go already.)
-Steve & Allie are finally lighting their incense and heading out for the Roadblock.
-Dan & Jordan’s cab driver stops for gas – WTF! They are not impressed. Dan is still kicking himself for letting their first cab driver – the best cab driver in the world – go at the beginning.
-Steve & Allie’s cab driver is turning around – Steve is ready to jump out of the cab (again) and find a new one (have you learned nothing this leg?) Allie is apologizing for him and trying to calm him down – we’re just really stressed.
-Dan & Jordan get to the Roadblock – Jordan starts smashing coconuts – he finds a coloured on quickly but then just takes the coconut down to the guru who shakes his head at him. READ THE CLUE – Build a traditional offering – ooohh, I’m such an idiot (you said it, so I don’t have to.)
-Steve & Allie are still in the cab, saying they’re going to beat the brothers… I don’t know about that.
-Jordan finishes his float and they are off for the Pit Stop.
-Steve & Allie finally get to the Roadblock and she’s doing it – she finds the coloured coconut, makes the float and they are off to the Pit Stop.
- Brothers hit a traffic snarl in the city…
HERE’S HOW THEY FINISHED:
1) Jet & Cord – They won a trip for 2 to Maui – Nice - Cord compliments Phil on his poker face – He tells them they are the first team ever to go from last to first and they had a speed bump and they still have a chance at a $ million. Jet – Quitting is not for me. (Duh)
2) Carol & Brandy – Waiting for the eyebrow to go up… and they are Team #2 – OMG!
3) Michael & Louie – (The Pit Stop is upstairs in the mansion) Louie groans – More Stairs (haha). Good Job.
4) Brent & Caite – We’ll take it (but still mad.)
5) Dan & Jordan – That is huge.
6) Steve & Allie - **ELIMINATED** It’s been so much fun – time of my life with my Dad. (Both of them are getting choked up – aww) Steve says this was their time and say what you will, this experience was better than the World Series for him.
So, with Steve & Allie going from first to last this leg and getting eliminated that means: Krista & Ian, Cheryl B, Kim M and Gillian H are out of the pools.
Preview of next week : Singapore, Dan & Jordan have to conquer their fear of heights (on the outside of the huge wheel) and Brent & Caite do something to set off Brandy & Carol (Brandy ranting) Excellent, I can’t wait!
Have a great rest of the week everyone,
Coleen

Survivor Heroes vs Villains April 1, 2010 Episode Recap
I’m not a good Villain
Thursday night on Survivor…
The episode opened in the Villains camp the morning after the blindsiding of Tyson –
Villains – Day 16
-Rob says he’s played this game three times and this was the first time he’s been shocked – he completely didn’t know what happened – something doesn’t feel right. Rob is talking to Sandra, Courtney & Jeri still in the tent – What did Tyson do? We need to knock them out before Parvati and Russell can do some damage (might be too late for that.)
-Courtney: Russell has a little boy crush on Parvati. Let’s face it, he’s a bandy-legged, little troll, tooth missing, never washing and she pays attention to him and has proven she will clearly flirt with ANYTHING that walks. (And, while I find Courtney’s snark amusing, it makes it obvious she has no idea what Russell is really like – though bandy-legged troll is quite apropos.)
-Parvati, Danielle & Russell are up celebrating their coup at Tribal the night before. Russell tells the girls they have to start working on Jeri (Parvati wrinkles her nose at that – and I’m sure that feeling is mutual.) They’re laughing and giggling together…
-The rest of the tribe is in the shelter listening to this – Rob – “How can they be so cocky? There are three of them and five of us.” Rob tells the camera – I was born at night but not last night – it’s ridiculous they have so much confidence – he wonders if a couple of his people are actually with them? (Hmm, not yet.) Rob’s feeling the paranoia, but he’s also got pretty good instincts I think.
-Jeri goes down and talks to Russell, Danielle & Parvati – Russell asks her if Rob’s started yet? [Ranting about Russell] Jeri says no, they’re more all depressed. Russell says she doesn’t have to feel that way – Join us, (drink our Kool-aid,) it will all be okay (wow, it is like they’re trying to indoctrinate her into their cult.) Russell says Jeri’s got all kinds of respect for me now because I put my butt on the line for someone else - Jeri hated Parvati but I’ve brought them together – I can bring people together in this game for my own good. (He could be a cult leader – that’s a scary realization.)
-Jeri says she’s afraid to commit, mumbles that maybe that’s why she’s been single for 38yrs.
-Parvati – to the camera – Okay crazy pants. There is a 3-3 split with Coach & Jeri in the middle – Parvati guarantees she’ll take Jeri to the final 4 like she did for her girls in Micronesia. Parvati thinks Jeri is jealous of what Russell did for her, that she wants a man to do something like that for her. (Yes, Parvati, every woman is jealous of you – ugh.)
Heroes – Day 16
They are all mopey faced the day after voting James off – Rupert says they need Colby to step up – not sure if getting rid of James was right but they have to try and keep strong.
-Colby – Absolutely shocked he’s still there – feels the pressure on him to perform now – it’s put up or shut up time for Colby.
REWARD CHALLENGE
-Three members of each tribe will race through the water/court to get a ball – they have to work together to get a basket anyway they can – first tribe to three points wins reward. Reward – Outdoor waterfall with lunch – beef, chicken, tuna wraps.
Villains have to sit three players: Courtney, Sandra & Parvati.
-Men head out first – Colby can’t get a basket – he misses twice. Coach takes it – also misses twice – Colby finally makes good and gets the first point for the Heroes.
-Next round – Heroes come out more aggressive than the Villains and Candice scores 2-0 for the Heroes.
-Last round Russell & Rupert tussle – JT charges out, gets the ball and Colby gets the 3rd point and HEROES Win Reward! Big win for Colby personally – buys him more time and relieves tension in the tribe.
Reward – Heroes – Day 16
-Through the rain they come to the waterfall and eat under a nice picnic shelter – Their spirits are high and they fall on the food – Candice, though, sees a little scroll and opens it – it’s a clue to another Immunity Idol at their beach. They were all happy and bonded and when the clue came out Urrch! They game came screeching back. They agree to put it aside for now but the tension builds and Amanda goes and gets it – reads it out. JT says they’ll not let it come between them and they’ll all look for it together so they can use it against the Villains. Colby – We’re now fighting the good fight – unified tribe of 5, ready to take on the Villains.
Villains – Day 16
-Russell talking to Jeri – asks her if she’s in this (with him). They beckon Coach over and Russell is telling them he wants to take them to the top three.
-Coach tells the camera that Russell is empowered by this game – with all the gullible people out there he thinks he can out-talk anybody (wow, surprisingly insightful of Coach) Russell’s spinning a pure line of gold and Jeri’s buying it hook, line and sinker.
-Jeri says she’s made her decision but she trusts Coach and doesn’t want to switch alliances without him. Russell leaves them to talk (scampers off on his bandy legs). Coach says the water is muddy right now – Jeri’s muddied it.
-Jeri tells Coach that she thinks Russell has huge balls (is that why he walks that way?) and she doesn’t trust Rob because of past performance (and you trust Russell? Huh?)
-Coach says six years ago it was a different game and this time around every time Rob has said he’s going to vote for someone he does – but he doesn’t want to talk about that –“First – I’m kinda hurt. You sit there in front of Russell and say I’m in – I hope Coach makes the same decision – you didn’t talk to me first and that hurts.” (My God! Coach is such a woman!) He feels like she said she trusts Russell & Coach equally (she says that’s not true) and he can’t believe she put all her eggs in Russell’s basket.
-Jeri tells the camera that she likes Coach but he’s so naïve – Russell’s there to play and win it – and so is she. As much as she likes and trusts Coach, she doesn’t think he gets it – He’s against manipulating people – wants to be the good guy to everyone and you just can’t be the good guy to everyone and win this game.
IMMUNITY CHALLENGE – Tribal immunity is back up for grabs.
Three members of each tribe will race, relay style, up a platform and across a net, and then climb up a large rope web to retrieve bags of puzzle pieces – once they get all six bags of pieces, the remaining two tribe members must use the pieces to solve the puzzle (crap, Heroes suck at puzzles.) First tribe to complete the puzzle wins immunity – Jeri, Danielle and Russell sit for the Villains.
-They are off; Villains have a good lead until Courtney’s second run – she gets caught up in the web and totally loses their whole lead. The Heroes are the first to start on their puzzle – JT & Amanda working pretty well together but Rob & Sandra are working the puzzle for the Villains and Rob is notoriously good at puzzles… but not good enough this time. The HEROES win IMMUNITY! Russell – we got whooped.
-Coach says we gotta get rid of Courtney tonight, she’s the weak link. (But I think Russell’s going to make a play for Rob.)
Villains – Day 18
Russell – We got our butts kicked in the Immunity Challenge – Rob got his butt kicked, Sandra did nothing, Courtney looked like she was about to bust in half – One of the most pitiful performances I have ever seen (huh, maybe you shouldn’t have sat out then.) Right now the Heroes are starting to win.
–Russell, talking to Rob in front of Sandra & Courtney, says they have to start weeding out the weak. Rob – Who do you suggest? Russell – One of these (and he points a stick at Sandra & Courtney). Rob laughs disbelievingly – What kind of approach is that? No way to gather friends.
Russell – You’d be surprised at how well it works.
-Russell tells the camera that Rob knows once Courtney goes he’s at my mercy (I’m not sure he does know that. Russell is constantly working the people and playing the game – no one else is.) “Whoever’s better in the game is who’s going to be here longer and it’s going to be me.”
-Rob goes and talks to Coach – Coach says they could blindside Parvati or vote out Courtney and re-group the alliance. Rob shakes his head. Coach thinks Courtney was pathetic in the challenge and doesn’t know what Rob sees in her.
-Rob - “She’s loyal, that’s something I value and you value too. You really think Parvati is a bigger threat than Russell at this point? From day one I haven’t trusted Russell” (Ya! Vote Russell!) How’s Jeri feel?
-Coach – “I don’t know, talked to you first cause you’re my right hand man.” (Other way round more like.) Coach says no matter what, he wants to be standing there with Rob on the last day. Alright – Rob says he’s voting Russell – Coach – Let’s get that little bastard out of here. (Hmm, I’m not buying it.)
-Rob says one way to get people to do what you want is to find what they hold most dear – with Coach it’s his reputation for being loyal - and put it on the line – you better do what you say or let it be known you’re a liar.
-Russell – talking to Coach, Danielle and Jeri – It’s Courtney tonight, then it’ll be Sandra, get rid of those two snakes right off the bat – as far as I’m concerned Rob can go home.
- Coach says Rob’s been gunning for Russell since day one and it takes a big man to escape the target [on his back.]
-Russell – I’m trying to keep the tribe strong and he keeps trying to get rid of me – Let’s blindside Rob.
-Coach – You’re a big man for not doing it though – I think the right move tonight is Courtney. Russell & Danielle start rolling with the ‘blindside Rob’ idea though – it’s the perfect time before the merge. Coach doesn’t want to. – Russell – “Give me your word and I’ll believe you.” – Coach – “I’m with you 100%.”
-Coach is talking to the camera – “I came to win this game but not at all costs.” He doesn’t want Boston Rob to go home, he doesn’t think he deserves to go home – I can’t go back on my word and Russell crammed it down my throat and Jeri’s being gullible… (Coach is having a crisis of conscience.)
-Rob talking to Jeri – They’re coming after me? She says she doesn’t know. Rob tells her she’s smart and to do what’s best for her. He says she knows what’s the right thing to do. She says she wishes she could trust him – He tells her she can always trust someone who has their back against a wall, they have no other choice.
-Jeri talking to Coach – I feel like I’ve aged 5 years – Rob told me to do what I have to do even if at his expense. Coach – you know it’s not the right time to get rid of Rob challenge-wise. Jeri – “I’m not a good Villain. I’m just not.” (I’d beg to differ there; I remember you back in the day.)
TRIBAL COUNCIL
Sandra, how is tonight’s vote different now that the Heroes are proving to be competition with their magic 5?
- Names and numbers going to be all over the board – I don’t know what to tell you Jeff.
Coach, if what Sandra says is right, is that indicative of a tribe in trouble?
- Like the dawn of every morning, hope springs eternal. I personally saw with the absence of Tyson not only a great competitor but someone who bridged the gap. Where’s the gap? Sandra, Courtney & Rob are tight – Danielle, Russell and Parvati are another group, then Jeri & I have been the followers – so everyone is going in a different direction and Tyson was the guy, in my opinion, that bridged that gap. (Rob is nodding.)
- Russell & Danielle pipe up that they disagree with that completely (cause Tyson bridged the Coach/Rob gap, not the Russell/Rob gap) Russell thinks getting rid of Tyson solidified a stronger group (Why’d you lose then? I think he meant a stronger group for him.)
Rob, you had one of the craziest tribal council’s last time that I’ve ever seen in 20 seasons – this is not a tribe that’s working together.
- It’s not. I agree with Coach, losing Tyson was a big mistake.
- Russell pipes up – I could have blindsided anybody (Rob rolls his eyes) my alliance, Parvati, was about to go home so I made the best move I thought possible – It was my decision (Bandy-legged God complex.)
- Parvati – A lot of people were mad about it and they haven’t gotten over it – shows in the challenges.
- Coach – Not true – A lot of us are giving 100% in the challenges but everyone’s so paranoid about alliances and it’s going to continue.
- Rob – It’s catastrophic because some are thinking in terms of keeping their alliance strong instead of keeping the tribe strong (And that’s Russell’s modus operandi – he has never cared about the tribe, it’s always been him and his alliance.)
- Russell – you know what? You wrote my name down – is that keeping the team strong?
- Rob – Yes, that would have kept the team strong.
- Russell – To use your own quote – “If you’re not with me, you’re against me.”
- Rob – That’s right – YOU are against ME. It’s clear – there’s been no secret. What I’m saying, my idea of trust and loyalty is different than Russell’s.
- Russell – Loyalty – I put my butt on the line.
- Rob – I saw what you did.
- Russell – You don’t have the guts to do what I did.
- Rob – Okay, you are entitled to your opinion.
- Russell – If you are gunning for me, you’re not going to get what you want from me. You gotta go.
Coach, where is your level of trust with these guys?
- Two soldiers on opposite ends of the spectrum. Lines have been drawn in the sand but I’m begging you guys to reconsider and keep this tribe strong. We can still win every challenge but not if our best competitors are at war with each other. (What? Does he really think anyone’s voting Courtney at this point?)
- Rob – at some point you have to pick someone to trust – I did that – and I think this vote will bring this tribe together (either under him or Russell.)
Jeri, literally you’re sitting in the middle – and your name hasn’t come up at all.
- I’ve been approached by both sides – they each have positives and negatives – I’m forced to make a decision and I’m not sure if I’m right but I have to believe it is.
It’s clear this will be a turning point for this tribe…
TIME TO VOTE:
Rob votes Russell – Game over – it’s either you or me.
Jeri – making a choice, hoping its right for her in the end. (They don’t show us who she wrote down)
Tallying the Votes:
Rob – 1, Russell – 1, Rob – 2, Russell – 2, Rob – 3, Russell – 3, Courtney – 1 (Coach, you’re such a wuss!), Rob – 4 And with that, BOSTON ROB is voted out of Survivor, Heroes vs Villains. (CRAP! I was totally Team Boston Rob) Jeri hugs Rob as he gets up, Coach attempts to hug him too but Rob pulls away, “You’re a little man.” Coach doesn’t like that… (But, whatever, he can talk a good game but he doesn’t have the courage of his convictions – grow a pair – idiot!)
So, with Rob leaving that means I’m sad… oh, and Julie T and Nancy C are out of the pool. Sorry Ladies.
Rob’s parting thoughts – I saw it coming tonight – these guys knew what they were doing. I wish Coach had kept his word but I knew they’d do what they thought was in their own best interests. I did as much as I could for my tribe, put them on my shoulders and carried them as long as I could and this is what I get in thanks.
Preview of this Thursday’s episode: Showed a muddy challenge and the Villains alliances crumble:
Courtney: Coach is a pathological liar.
Coach: Russell is a bully.
Jeri: Everyone on this tribe is an idiot.
Sandra: I hate Jeri, Coach, Danielle and Russell even more.
Coach – Pray for the merge.
(Ha! Sounds like it’ll be fun!)
Hope everyone has a great week,
Coleen
